Teaching
Teaching is one of my favorite things about philosophy! I have taught a number of introductory courses, as well as upper level courses in Philosophy of Law, Public Health Ethics, and Philosophy of Art.
At Rutgers, I designed and taught a modular introductory course focused on today’s most pressing and divisive moral and social issues. Some units I have taught include ethics and pandemics; democracy and elections; trans issues in philosophy; borders and immigration; abortion and reproductive justice; climate change; and policing, protest, and incarceration. In each unit, I assign canonical texts in philosophy, pairing them with public-facing/journalistic sources and contemporary philosophical work.
Here is a syllabus for one of these courses.
Here are some other syllabus— feel free to use them as you wish!
